There's a little clue in this post ... http://digital-minds-blog.blogspot.co.at/2014/03/the-story-so-far.html

;)

Yeah I was supposedly scouted by Liverpool and Everton when I was 15... but everyone says that, right? Ended up playing a bit of amateur/semi-pro here in Austria. My claim to fame is having played with someone who played with Hristo Stoichkov! And I once marked the South Korea World Cup captain. And by "marked" I mean I chased him up and down a pitch for 45 mins  ;D

I was just thinking that the other day. It really is mind-boggling.

Btw, don't know if we've mentioned it in the 0-7/8-15 thing, but I think 8-15 are also the numbers that show as skills a player has on the transfer list.
With just 0-7 it will seem players don't have any skills worth mentioning :)

As I collect the data for each team in a libreoffice file first, I was too lazy to check the price table every time.
so I created a sort of mapping which you can see in the screenshot. did the same for positions (because I get my data from wikipedia).
feel free to use it... (_vorlage.ods)
[a filled example you can see in cap_verde.ods]

Hi everyone,

I would like to sign up for Bulgarian, Ukrainian and Russian leagues. And also for the national teams of Albania, Bulgaria, Northern Ireland and Wales.
Attention: Update ALL teams in a file you have signed up for (including Non-League). Non-League teams can be seen in the game during a career.

Cheers!

Only a few mixed race players in Croatia, but their skin colour is killing me. Going for original SWOS defaults.
A whole lote of "blond" players that are not really blond killing me a lot more :D Very few really blonde folks, but a bunch of them are light brown or whatever. ARGH.
I sank to googling "blond (insert player name)" to see if someone else thinks they're blond :)

HAHA!! Made my day...
I faced the same problem in ESTONIA. All those guys seem to be dark blonde / light brown... hahaha...

I bet Estonia's a lot "worse" in that regard! I have darker hair so I've no idea how it works but I swear I've been to football games where the same player was once totally blond, and then the next time totally brown haired, and then everything in between  ;D

But seriously SWOS makers... lower divisions of El Salvador but no more than two shades of skin/hair color? Even 3 shades would do wonders! :D

Croatian league uploaded. I see one file has -25K players, which it shouldn't? Oh well.

Also, I misunderstood and made all the player skills in 0-7 range, no 8-15.
Career works, but it doesn't seem like salaries are better, but what the heck do I know :)

Sure, if I don't forget!

<gratuitous rant>
This update is actually much more detailed than SWOS can show or appreciate. I used (slight, so I don't break the game) modifiers for each player based on the ratings he got within a team and league, his additional position, goals, assists, physical characteristics... Each player is in the position he most often played, every team is full of players with the best minutes played/price ratio. I compared all the defenders/midfielders etc. to one another and then stretched their abilities to make them better/worse than their price suggests or more in line with their forte. I didn't field expensive players who played 12 minutes for the club and then spent the season injured. Transfermarkt also believes clubs have players that their homepages state are sold 3 seasons ago :), etc."
</gratuitous rant>

Without the OCD stuff I can just field the most expensive 11 and be done with it! :D
