Aright but imma create a hell of a stink if there is a player who identifies as black but the editor refuses to make him black!!!!

ha ha ha - that problem was solved a long time ago ;)

Those players have a name, they're transracial. And I don't think there's anything funny about a black person being born in a white body!!

To be honest, we haven't discussed on the Wembley image, but a good idea... Will think about it.
Which image did you take to replace good old Wembley?

I used a nice new one of Wembley myself, what with it being quite iconic.... (which i have already had a look to see if i could improve, although the other image i had wasnt much different)

Pitch modifications:
- Adboards with 16/17 instead of 96/97
- Coaching zone added in front of the benches!

Ah ok... nothing i didnt notice. I just thought some of the previously shown goal net changes (e.g. with red bits) and crowd control staff might have been a nice variation to make it look a bit more '2016'  .... i also quite like the idea myself of different pitches actually being different! (like different benches etc) , rather than just the cut of the grass!

- Loader1.256 (intro)
- TWO.256 (intro)

i guess these are PC version only ;)

That's it. We didn't want to change more, but keep the low-key element of the original.

Yep, i get that.... its a personal preference, and i'd just be interested to see how a few (minor) modernisations might look, and how popular they might be.

you're gonna have to help me out on timings on the video because i see the same number of 'screens' on the intro there as normal.

Yeah, some have changed text but that is done via the original "loader*.raw" files from what i can see?  I was referring to the two files labelled '.256' which  arent used on the amiga version? or even present in the copy i downloaded?

Yes, but the 256 files are the PC equivalents, which have changed in the Amiga Intro, too! Sorry for the confusion.
Here again, as screenshots, the Amiga parts...

hi!

european champions cup = champions league 16/17
the teams are not correct , the 16 teams must be of 15/16 ?

A     Real Madrid - París Saint-Germain
B     Wolfsburgo     - PSV Eindhoven
C     Atlético de Madrid - Benfica
D     Manchester City     - Juventus
E     Barcelona     -  Roma
F     Bayern Múnich - Arsenal
G     Chelsea     - Dinamo de Kiev
H     Zenit San Petersburgo - Bélgica Gent

or actually 16/17 ?

PSG - Barcelona
Benfica - B. Dortmund
R. Madrid - Nápoles
Bayern Múnich - Arsenal
Manchester City - Mónaco
B. Leverkusen - Atlético Madrid
Oporto - Juventus
Sevilla - Leicester City

This may have been mentioned previously but the Joystick calibration in the SWOS++ menu doesn't work correctly. When calibrating the Joystick the numbers for example for bottom right fluctuate between 1200 and 1600. This Problem also occurs when calibrating the middle Position.

I have the exactly the same problem, with 2 or 3 different gamepads...SaintGav's solution below has just fixed it!

I have a fix for the joystick calibration in SWOS++, or at least it worked for me.

Browse to the DOSBOX folder and edit the ipx.conf file with notepad. Look for the following:

joysticktype=auto
timed=true
autofire=false
swap34=false
buttonwrap=true

Change the timed=true value to timed=false. Save the file and restart the game. Hope this works for others

Thanks, this has fixed it for me, finally!

New ++ version will be included by next week. USB devices will be auto-configured, by default.
This will get rid of all problems, including the usage of joy2key or similar software.

Hey dude!

There are some error in Italian SERIE A and SERIE B teams.....

SERIE A = 20 teams, not 18... You have to insert UDINESE and PALERMO (actually placed in SERIE B)

SERIE B = 22 teams, not 20... You have top remove UDINESE and PALERMO (move in SERIE A) and add: ASCOLI, LATINA, PRO VERCELLI, SALERNITANA.

See ya mate!

This is not an error!
We have maintained same league structure as in original SWOS 96/97.
In other words: It's done on purpose, for historical, retro and compatibility reasons! ;)

But thanks for your report!

Hi all,

Two more for you:
Shay Given (G, Stoke City) should be Irish, not Danish.
Leeds Utd have winger Hadi Sacko twice, once as LW once as RW. He can play either. So the squad will need a replacement.

Many thanks for the great update, I'm really enjoying it. SWOS lives!

Yea, I suppose it....
But many years ago, (1998...?) I change the number of the team with SWOSed, on my AMIGA1200. I add 2 teams in serie B (italian rules changed) and the season work! Probabilly i  change the number of the team in an other nation
