brilliant work guys, I cannot wait to download this. keep up the good work!

Thanks, Steve!

Any George Weah fans around? Would there be interest in letting him score more than 256 goals now? :D

lol I loved George Weah, only reason why I started watching Italia football on channel four in the UK. I scored over 400 goals for me in my managerial career. he was a true goal scoring super star hero!

It WAS impossible. :P

PS: Steve, you might have forgotten the fact that after 256 goals count was set back to 0 in original SWOS!

yup, I know all this. I used to keep my own records on paper, in the old days I was a swos nerd. all I ever did was play it!

ps I mean in my managerial career, I used to score goals for fun!

ok so I remember some bug in swos, it was for the kits while playing. I remember if you say you played Barnsley v Once Lobos both teams would play in red. was this a bug? can it be fixed?

Beta version: 14th-Jan-19
- implemented controls fully, any device recognized by SDL can now be used
- implemented controls menu completely
- fixed swapped foul/dangerous play comments
- fixed mouse not working on replay/exit menu after friendly game
- vastly improved mouse handling, and added new stuff:
    - right click goes back to previous menu, or abort text input
    - mouse wheel can scroll certain entries
- added validation when loading options
- fade-out title song at start
- hide the cursor while in borderless window full-screen mode (only in game and if nobody is using mouse)
- crowd background noise (that loops the whole game) is now turned on/off together with chants
- temporarily disabled chairman scenes
- fixed penalty comments not being played
- fixed original SWOS bugs with penalty flag staying on (discovered by Michael Mihelakakis)
- plenty of smaller bug fixes

Hey, really looking forward to this. Swos was my fav game on the amiga back in the 90's.

Also, I have been coding since the amiga days(blitzbaisc/devpac/amos) - and if you need/want any help coding this, I'd happily help. Would be amazing to help bring it to life really. antonyrobwells@gmail.com if at all interested.

good luck with the project.

Thanks! :) Might get back to you if help is needed!
Although none of blitzbaisc/devpac/amos is used. It's more like assembler/C++/python...

Final exit?  ;D I guess you mean release? Hm, autumn/end of this year! Hopefully...  :P

Hey, yeah I know, but since then I've learned C++/CSharp and understand assembly and am willing to research what's needed. Just loved the original game so would be cool if you needed any assistance.

Also, I'm wondering if you'll be looking for beta testers? If so I'd like to help.

I have one question and I am sincerely sorry if it answered in another post, I also want to express my thanks for the people who work in this project, you are really wonderful.

My question is if I will be able to play the game using a Logitech Rumbler game pad USB? and in such case will work with two pads? or if the game is only playable via keyboard?

Thanks in advance.and again my apologies if this is not the correct place for this question.

You're welcome.
Any USB controller will work just fine. Also two of them.
