Redondo is great, but Real's Ds can't compete with him. Hierro is 55 CoSp, Alkorta only 33 CoSp. Lasa, a LB, is 77 CoSp, but also 3 in Pa.
If only Redondo was a D...

Any chance someone has an excel file of all the 2013-14 data?  I wish I could simply copy it out of the SWOS DB Finder.  That's one feature it lacks.

Actually, it was quite easy.  I found the following program to read the mdb files that come with SWOS DB Finder:

http://www.alexnolan.net/software/mdb_viewer_plus.htm

And then just exported in CSV format and imported it into Excel.  If anyone wants it, let me know and I'll post it on here (or somewhere reachable anyway).

Jesus it's been a long time since i've visited here!!

Question.... did anyone solve the mystery of 0-7 ranges vs. 8-15 ranges?

I get that they have the same effect. THis is unsurprising. Going by my previous experience of hacking up other amiga games (including SWOS many years ago, and Mega Lo Mania more recenty) , i would expect that what should be happening is that the skill is set in bits 0-2 of the data (if you clear bit 3, then values 8-15 will transpose directly to 0-7)

It seems likely then that you need to simply look at what bit 3, which is going to end up as TRUE/FALSE only is doing. Probably this should be how the data is looked at in any editor (i also have no idea what editor people are using these days)

Cheers

p.s. can't believe it's been 18 years since SWOS WorldCup '98, lol

Interesting theory!

Maybe bit 3 is indeed a true/false value which indicates if the skill is one of the players listed top skills? Eg "TSP" for Maldini.

Anyone got a copy of the 96/97 DB in excel format?  Surely it should get its own thread in the Downloads section
