I ll use the rules for update like the 2016-2017 version now.
The differences that I made are:
1. players quoted 700k on transfermarkt I put them 300k in SWOS.
2. players quoted 2M on transfermarkt i put them 650k in SWOS.
3. players which have 31 years old I calculate 1,25 time their value.
4. players from 32 to 34 years old I calculate 1,5 time their value.
5. players from 35 to 37 years old I calculate 2 time their value.
6. players which have 38 or 39 years old I put 2,5 time their value.
7. players which have 40 years old or older I put 3 times their value in tranfermart and read in where they are in the editing rules scale.

Seems it works.

Hey daddy, I used more or less your method for my updates I shared here (which is basically good) but:
- with transfermarkt values, I played 3 times Fiorentina-Spal and easily won 7-0, 9-0, 6-0.
- with FIFA18 values, same games but won 1-0, 3-2, 2-0.
Played also a Real Madrid-Barcelona with the update shared here, it ended 6-6.. I m afraid the teams are too much strong for some reasons. More with calculated prices by SWOES, which generates always perfect players for their role (15 and 14 in tackle and heading for defenders, for istance).
The trouble with Fiorentina-Spal was that Giovanni Simeone (1.5mln) had anyway 7 and 6 in shot and finishing, while the defenders and most of all Spal s Goalie were very underrated (Gomis in Fifa18 has 74, very far from his market value).

OK, using Fifa18 there is another kind of trouble. Defenders don t match their value, as FIFA generates overall values considering differently the players values depending on where he is going to play on the pitch, while SWOS generates a generic overall value summing al the single values.
On Fifa18 Chiellini has 89 with very low passing, finishing and control. Converted in SWOS it would be a 1.3mln.
So it s not possible except for putting FIFA18 values and adjusting market stats with Pablo s Editor. But Swos didn t work that way.

I think daddywharol s method is the best (maybe adjusting some players with other games -FIFA or PES- stats). Using only transfermarkt values SPAL is weaker than some Serie B teams.

When all country update be ready i ll make a SWOS Total Pack 17-18 with working career.

Volevo dirti che in SWOS 96-97 VINSI IL MONDIALE CON L ALGERIA ma qui sul pc giocando con la tastiera son un mezzo brocco quindi le partite son combattute,e mi diverto abbastanza,ora sto facendo una carriera nella Francia aggiornata da me col Tolosa e son arrivato 3° dietro PSG e Marsiglia...da una parte mi piace non vincere facile come 20 anni fa,è + combattuto e + realistico.
Poi cm sai anche tu in SWOS se un giocatore ha caratteristiche diverse dal ruolo che deve ricoprire si deprezza rapidamente,l unico controllo che mi concedo è sull altezza degli attaccanti x veder chi è veloce e chi è alto,anche se poi non vorrebbe dire...
Ma non potrei aggiornare i campionati così rapidamente se stessi a controllar caratteristiche giocatore x giocatore...

@daddywarhol, sì sono italiano.
Purtroppo non mi sono mai ritrovato ad essere così superiormente forte in SWOS. Vincere un mondiale con l Algeria ci può stare, battere sistematicamente di 7/10 gol gli avversari no, e questo mi è accaduto sia col Barça che giocando un Genoa-Spal. Purtroppo credo dipenda da me. Ho provato ad aggiornare Barça e Real con statistiche di FIFA o PES riadattate a SWOS mantenendo i prezzi di transfermarkt (Messi con tackle 7 o Chellini con passaggio stellare per non farlo brocco è ridicolo ad esempio), ma ho vinto comunque con punteggi stellari. Penso che ormai conosco troppo bene le dinamiche di gioco.
Ovviamente hai ragione sul resto! E fai ottimi update! Ciao!
