Hi everyone!

I started a new English div 3 career and is doing really well.
Two seasons in the results are going my way except for in the financial department, my players keep losing value at an alarming rate.

I have three custom made tactics:
5-3-2, 4-4-2 and 4-3-3, all of them generate ticks next to the player and a big green tick next to the team name. I spent a lot of time moving each and every player for each ball position to ensure there are no (or very few) red ticks. Some players will never be satisfied but the majority are happy and I can feel the boost in-game.

Everything I ve read about player value is that happy players increase and unhappy decrease and the direct correlation to tactics. What I can t figure out is why my 350-450k players drop top 175-225 in just a season and a half. I have 5-6 players who has seen a significant drop and no one has increased.

Does anyone have input on what I might be doing wrong?

In related threads there are some value tactics and I would love to get my hands on these in Amiga ADF-format (I play on a portable device), does anyone have a disk I could have?

Any assistance would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

Download: www.viksoe.dk/code/adfview.htm
ADF View enables you to open *.adf files like a new folder in windows explorer. Copy paste files in and out then...

Please attach your career file (*.car) to your next post, and I ll have a look.
In the meantime, try the tactics I attached below.

Especially forma.tac should increase almost everybody s value!

Thanks man, formatted a new disk via ADF View and loaded them, the team lights up like a Christmas tree.

My save disk seems to be in .asf instead of .adf so I have some in-game transferring to do (ADF view doesn t like them).

One oddity that I forgot to mention. My formation changes from the pre-game screen to minute 0 . My RW becomes a D, LB a RW and D a LB. I always have to go to the bench and switch them around prior to kick-off. Does this have an impact and is there a way to prevent this?

UAE4All handles save disk in .ADS format and isn t compatible with ADF View. In short, I can transfer .TAC/.CAR files to the game via .ADF but not export any .TAC/.CAR given I can t open the .ADS files.

Anyway, I ll play with the formations you provided and see what happens. I looked at FORMI.TAC and it is very similar to the tactics I ve created, just a lot better green tick yield.

This was an extremely interesting (yet confusing read given I don t know a word in Polish) but here s a link to a translated version (I suggest having them side by side to see the images). The table showing the optimal skill for career points is something to look for when scouting players. I would love to be able to HEX edit my .CAR to see where my players stand but it is what it is I guess.

The article is still there in Polish, but the translation link to Google Translate no longer works.  I downloaded and fed the article through a free online translator.  Its still not perfect, but it was an interesting read nonetheless. (attached below)
