This SWOS version has the new 2010-11 Premiership teams (up to Liverpool signing of Joe Cole), the Original 96-97 teams, and the All Time Legend teams.

This Amiga version for the PC is by far the best with superior graphics, atmospheric sound, and perfect game speed.
And unlike some versions it doesn t have an automatic shoot button, and the ball doesn t stick to your feet like glue.
The player sprites are just the right size too, unlike the oversized PC version.

Getting to grips with installing the amiga version of swos can be a little complicated.
So this installer should help.

Hello - First off - thank-you for the upload it was fantastic works well. Was struggling doing it manually.

but i have a problem - i do everything you say and when i load the game it plays but very slow ( lag ) stuttering type. But if i constantly move my mouse while playing - it dosen t do this.


Can u tell me how to fix it?

Also on a side note - career mode won t work with the 08/09 version

ok i found out what was going wrong

i had to edit the following file in notepad:

C:\Program Files\Amiga SWOS\Configurations\Kaillera.UAE

and change the following line from:

immediate_blits=false

to:

immediate_blits=true

career mode then works !!

i ve ammended the download link at the top of this page, so re-download

not sure about speed issues, i ve played a few mates online and none of us have the problem
my machine is quite old, amd athlon 1.4ghz, 512 ram, so i have to make sure internet explorer isn t running
i also kill the avira anti virus process while i play
the other thing i set is [my computer\properties\advanced\performance settings\adjust for best performance] and tick [use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop]

I d also try not clicking your mouse inside the Swos game window
just select the window by clicking the bar running along the top called [winuaexp amiga swos]

let me know if other people have slow issues, if so does it also happen with other winuae installs?

Thank-you for your time insolving the issues - i d love to have career on 08/09 so imma redownload now. Got work atm so can t actually tests if it is working.

i did solved the slow problem myself - it was something to do with AMD dule core prossesser there was a download link on the forums somewere to fix it and it worked fine.

Edit: Just got home from work - and i edited the file myself like you did and now everything works fine. Thanks again. This thread should be stickyed with new ppl look here it s way better than the rest of them and even better than the ones on the main download page!

us there away to disable the sounds - i like to listen to my music while i play rather than the repetative chants and cheers?

quit swos..... then open the following file in notepad:
C:\Program Files\Amiga SWOS\Configurations\Kaillera.UAE

look for this line:
sound_output=exact

and change it to:
sound_output=none

save and close the file
then start swos again

i ve updated the download url as the latest version has an auto keys-configuration tool,
and a disable-sound option for those who like to play without their background pc music being interupted by the repetitive chants

Thanks a lot for a great download!

But I have a problem. The thing is that I have a localized version of Windows and this means that your install script doesnt work because some directories differ.

Is there a way to make it not dependent on only English version of Windows?

Well, I ve looked at the install script from the link in the OP and I found couple errors.

There were missing some symbols at paths with spaces.

Also, I attach a modified script file, but it is localized to Danish locale.

You have to change things such as Programmer to Program Files and other paths.

Oooookay, the post before was a bit to hasty, because the running program is hardcoded to Program Files and such paths.

Well, no fun for people with other localization other than English.

I hope this can be fixed somehow.
