SWOS 96/97, Career Mode crashes on my jxd s7800b

Am using UAE4ALL2. I can play a friendly, but the moment I select a team in career mode, the game crashes.

I read the other day advice that apparently works in the link below, but I’m not going to lie to you, I don’t fully understand it.

could anybody help me get my career mode working? Or explain the advice given in the below link?
