SWOS PC versions was created by Mr Wolf
Hi to all!
So, I started to play again SWOS after... I don t know. :o I m playing SWOS on DOSBox.

I wanted to make some clarification about the PC versions.
According to what I read on Wikipedia ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sensible_Soccer ) there are:

1) Sensible World of Soccer (1994) for Amiga and DOS
I couldn t find any information about this. Perhaps, it was only for Amiga?

2) Sensible World of Soccer 95–96
This actually should be the first PC version and should be Sensible World Soccer and stop (that is, the version above): as it says in the read.me file, it s version 1.0, and it s surely the version I bought in fall 1995.
I downloaded it from here: www.sensiblesoccer.de/forum/index.php?topic=620.0
Many thanks! I lost my CD.

3) Sensible World of Soccer: European Championship Edition
Searching for this, many of the photos of the box I found are like this one:

So, my guess is Sensible World of Soccer 95–96 and Sensible World of Soccer: European Championship Edition are just the same.
Downloaded from here: www.sensiblesoccer.de/forum/index.php?topic=627.0

4) Sensible World of Soccer 96–97
The last official release. Downloaded from here: www.sensiblesoccer.de/forum/index.php?topic=629.0

Any correction/help appreciated. Thanks.

SWOS versions for PC:

1) Sensible World of Soccer (season data from 95/96)
Link: www.sensiblesoccer.de/forum/index.php?topic=620.0

2) Sensible World of Soccer ECE
- European Championship Edition , 95/96 data, with Euro 1996 included as preset competition.
- tweaks to team data, esp. national teams
- tweaks to gameplay, high headers, curled passing etc. (comparable gameplay tweaks as in the Amiga version SWOS 95/96 )

3) SWOS 96/97
Link: www.sensiblesoccer.de/forum/index.php?topic=629.0
(has been released as standalone installation, as in the link above. But also as an Update-CD for SWOS ECE for a lower price.)

1.) Yes, it was only for Amiga.
2.) Amiga: SWOS 95/96, but PC: SWOS. Folder data is in 99,99% the same. Amiga version (Data 95/96.2) is a little newer, then PC version (Data 95/96.1). Teams’ comparison: swos.pl/porownanieskladow.html . (* - teams don t differ from the preceding version).
3.) Yes, but only Amiga version 95/96 and 95/96 ECE are the same. That picture is from Amiga version.

Clarification:
Season Amiga PC
94/95 SWOS | v1.0 -
95/96 SWOS 95/96* SWOS | v1.0
95/96 ECE SWOS 95/96 ECE* SWOS ECE* | v1.0
96/97 SWOS 96/97* SWOS 96/97* | v2.0
* - used final match engine

The one I checked was about Sensible Soccer. However, it s wrong. When I ll have time, perhaps I ll correct it, if someone doesn t do it first.
