Sensible Days 2026, the 23rd edition of the tournament took place from the 17-19th of July. Organised by wugbaspin (Ben) with assistance from Theologistic and the rest of the UK based guys, SWOS 'came home' to the UK for the first time, with the event taking place in Burwell House near Cambridge - not too far from the game's birthplace in Norwich.

As ever, people travelled from around Europe to attend, with Playaveli even flying in from San Diego just for the weekend! We also had some new faces which was great to see, as well a face we all know: the game's desinger and all round legend Jon Hare.

Saturday saw the Amiga tournament, with 33 players taking part, played on 6 Amigas. After a group stage that went largely to form, we were treated to a live musical performance from Jon Hare, who performed 3 songs with his guitar - Goal Scoring Superstar Hero, plus two familiar tracks from Cannon Fodder. A unique show and one that everyone will remember!

In the Amiga knockouts, we had two first-time semi finalists in crom1 and thd79, with the latter managing to prevail. The other semi final was one for the ages, with Playa and Blazej playing out three draws before finally Blazej gained the upper hand.

The final was a similar affair, with thd79 forcing a set of replays, before Blazej's class saw throgh, with the GOAT taking his 10th title. Event organizer Wugbaspin put in a great performance to take the carrot cup from xflea.

The PC version of the tournament took place on Sunday with 27 players battling it out. Playaveli timed his peak to perfection, and after missing out on qualification to the master group, grew stronger as the tournament progressed. Bobbiebobras was in strong form, knocking out previous finalist AndYpsilion before falling to Blazej in the semis.

The final of Playaveli v Blazej gave the former a chance for revenge after the previous day's defeat. It proved to be another classic, which saw Playa take the title thanks to a last minute goal-line clearance transformed into a counterattack goal. Many thanks to the Dutch crew for supplying the equipment; it wouldn't have been possbile without you!

Alongside the PC cup was the Classic Sensi Cup, in which crowd favourite Fifko went on a fairytale run to the final, wher he found himself leading Blazej 2-0 at halftime. However as normal, Blazej was able to find a way to win, and the upset was avoided. Nevertheless Fifko was able to take consolation by winning the PC Carrot Cup, beating FRK Pawel to the title.
