Joystick or Joypad?

Hey people!
Tell me, which one do you think gives better playability: the joystick or a joypad?
I just bought yesterday a joypad and i guess it probably requires games and training but...i wonder if a joystick is better. Never tried to play with one of these an i wonder what it is like.
Please give me your opinion.

I think it s for everybody different.

I used the keyboard always to play SWOS, also online.

But I when I must choose between a joystick and gamepad, I will def. choose for the gamepad

Now i am stuck
In order to your comments, i do not know what actually happenned with me when i tried to play online with keyboard.
I guess i have to try playin with ya one of these days.

Alright chaps i`m new around here :

I always used a zip stick with the amiga you had better control!

Mega drive version was crap and so was the joy pad, what`s it like on line?

I have WinUae itching to get back at it
