hi guys..

I am looking for a couple of gamepads to use for Swos and which of course works on Amiga 500/600/1200..
Looking at ebay.de and other sites i only find very few. But searching google, i found some interesting info. One site said it was possible to use Sega Megadrive controllers instead of the original amiga one. Can someone confirm this?

Also which gamepads are the best (just your personal opinion)?

Im counting on you amiga experts out there... ;)

First of all, yes, it is possible to use Sega pads on the Amiga! No problem... ;)

Thanks to Redhair I play with a customized Gravis PC pad on my Amiga!
But I think the Action pad is very nice and similar:

Unfortunately not in stock right now.

Other nice pad:
Boomerang CD32 Joypad

hmm.. i saw a picture of another sega system. Sega Master something,, is the controllers for this also compatible with amiga? The end of the cable looks similar to the mega drive version and normal amiga ones.

i found a picture of the sega master system here:

Yes it works, but AVOID! This gamepad sucks. I got one a year ago and it is really the worst steering cross I ever experienced. Don t be fooled by its look which is nice ;) !

Infact, this was the one Redhair used to pimp up my Gravis Gamepad for the Amiga. The interiors of it are now in my Gravis.

SEGA Megadrive/Genesis or Master System Controllers are compatible with Amiga.

This thread is now quite old, but I just thought I d add that
i used to use an official 6-button Sega MegaDrive pad for SWOS on my Amiga.

It worked perfectly, was a nice size (alot smaller than the original 3-button MegaDrive pad), and worked awesome with Amiga.

I have seen these on Amazon.co.uk for about £5 GBP

I use Super Nintendo Pads with an adaptor on Amiga (i bring it with me to Aalborg Cup). Bomb and Playaveli use Gravis Gamepad (but could also use other PC Gameport Pads) also with adaptors at Amiga. In my mind these are the two best Gamepads that was build for playing.
