Re: Panini World Cup Album

OK, I don t care what anybody thinks/says/writes .


I used to collect those old Panini football sticker albums, and really looked forward to the World Cup ones
(I try to collect memorabilia etc. from the various World Cups, I already have my vuvuzela this time ).
In 2006 I couldn t resist the old habit and bought, wheeled and dealed my way to completing the full album.

Last time I was in Italy I bought a book which contains every single World Cup sticker album Panini made from their start (1970) through 2002.

So now it s 2010, and time to start a new album. Just about half way there at the moment (the whole album is 640 stickers ).
That ll be a lot of swapping doubles when school starts after this week s holiday....

Am I the only (pathetic) person who still collects these things? Or am I the only one who ever did?

I only collected the 1990 World Cup album, and I got it still here, with all pictures!

Nothing like sitting outside a café in Italy with drinking an espresso/cappuccino whilst reading the Gazzetta Retrieving .
Next year I m going back to Northern Italy for sure .

How many stickers do you still need? I ve got a load here .

Oh been checking by the way....I only have 8 of 19 Japanese stickers (still missing 9 players, the team photo and the emblem), and none double so I can t help you there (yet ).

I used to be a proud owner of one of them beauties back in 1990, if I remember right that was German national team edition.
