Can someone please help me. I am total newbie to SWOS! Need help with few things

I m new here on the forums and also somewhat new to SWOS. I played SWOS 96/97 on the old computer in my office few years ago and stopped playing ever since. When it comes to SWOS I m not sure what to download. I did search and found a lot of links but I m not sure what I need to play this beautiful game... I have gaming pc so Im not sure if it will be compatible to play this game but what I m interested in is playing most updated version with updated line ups, chants, graphics etc.

I know 96/97 version is the best so Im assuming thats what you all play. Also, what and how I can play online. I am from USA so not sure about the lag if playing someone from overseas...

i did download the total pack for pc...and had to disable my antivirus avast software because it was detecting trojan horses and other viruses... once i installed the game..it would start but then close...this is my system info

4GB OF RAM
NVIDIA GE-FORCE 460 64 BIT OPERATING SYSTEM...

Total pack does NOT have any kind of malwares like that. I think that it may be caused by internal function of pc_swotp which runs launcher\launcher_p.exe . BUT it is not malware. In order to avoid this mis-diagnosis, please run launcher\launcher_p.exe directly instead of pc_swostp.exe

I have avast too, and it alerts, if trying to run from the pc_swostp.exe, but works like a charm when running from launcher like mentioned above.

Ok, where do I find this launcher\launcher_p.exe ? When I extract files it gives me Amiga and Pc install. And the multimedia install (optional). But I can t find launcher\launcher_p.exe ?

Sorry, i understand / read your message wrong, so you cannot even install it? My earlier message is about after installing, when you try to start the game from .exe file.
I didnt have any probs installing the game, but had that (and still is) that starting proble (avast alerting about malware..)

I have the same problem. I downloaded the Mega Pack, tried to install the PC version and got a Spyware alert from Avast. Where do I find launcher\launcher.exe?
