How to update team squads

Guys,really sorry to bother you with this stpid question,but this is driving me nuts for days.
I have downloaded swos 96/97 with 2007/2008 megadata patch.Now i like to update the squads with 2012/2013.I have downloaded the patch,and in the patch the new teams are present.where should i put the files, that are present in the patch ,to the main swos folder? ı have tried several occasions,but when i run the launcher,the career mode gets stuck..
