Career Crash at end of season 1

Hoping someone might be able to help.  I have just completed my first full season but sadly the game crashes at the end of the season when it's displaying all the results.

I'm using the 1994/95 - Original Amiga 1.0 (Jan '95) Team DB, which I have not changed since I started this career.
I have not made any changes to the game or database since I started playing.
When the German D.F.B. Pokal Final is displayed, the "SWOS port has stopped working" message pops up and that's it, the game crashes.

Is there anything I can do to recover this save game?
