hello guys!

I m one of the two hungarian player thinking of taking part this event. Before that, we have some question, some of them maybe stupid, but we never attended any SWOS tournaments :)

so the questions are:
- the 75€ entitles to play both the amiga and pc tourney?
- 8 groups for both version? so at least we get 2*7 games if we play both version
- we can only play with keyboard (arrow keys + 1), won t that be a problem, if we face each other?
- if we need to leave by sunday evening, does it reduce the fee somehow? - work on monday
- are you allowed to switch your tactics in-game? if yes how many times?
- are you also allowed to swap player positions? if yes how many times?

that s all so far, hope to get a clear picture of the competition with your help guys.

- Yes, for 75 Euro you can play in all tournaments and sleeping/eating is included, too, of course
- 8 groups for both version, group stage has 2 legs. So 12-14 games (7-8 players) per group on each system minimum.
- You can play with ANY controller you like. Joystick, pad, keypad, keyboard. We have double gameports on PC and adapters for Amiga controllers. You can play EACH MATCH with your favorite controller!
- If you leave on Sunday your fee will be reduced a little, of course. You will get some cash back.
- You may load 1 custom tactic per match. You can use it on PC without restrictions. Amiga has a special rule. Read more on page 1 of this topic. During the game you may switch between standard and custom tactic as often as you like. If you think that helps!
- You can substitute 3 players, and swap the positions on field as often as you wish during a game.
- Pressing R or S in the 44th/89th min. is strictly forbidden! ;)

Have a read of page 1 of this topic, to get a clear picture of the rules, especially KO rounds.

It would be really a pleasure to meet you.

Since we will play in 8 groups there will be 8 pots for the drawing.
If anyone has proposals for a seeding pls post and attach a txt-file with your pot-ideas or send me a PM if you don t want to do it publicly.
Remember, Amiga and PC pots should differ a little.

We are open for ideas.

I suggest to pick 16 best players from all countries to one basket. There will be 11 countries (assuming all players take part on Amiga).

Amiga:

Basket1: 2 GER + 2 POL + 2 ITA + 2 POR + 2 CZE + 1 CRO + 1 TUR + 1 BUL + 1 DEN + 1 SER* + 1 HUN*. Rule for this basket: Players from one country cannot be drawn to one group.

Basket 2: Germany and Poland will have more than 8 players left, so best 8 from each would make 2 more baskets.
Basket 3: Now, there would be 8 players left from Italy, Portugal and Turkey in total. If there are more players, basing on rank the basket should look like this: 3 ITA + 3 POR + 2 TUR
Basket 4: 2 CZE + 2 DEN + 2 BUL + 1 HUN + 1 CRO (basing on rank)

Basket 5 and 6 and maybe 7: all other basing on rank. Probably: 6 GER + 2 POL(so far, probably few more will sign up) + 1 BUL + 2 DEN + 1 CZE. Rule for this baskets: Players from one country cannot be drawn to one group. If there are more than 8 players from one country in these baskets, there will be exception from this rule.

* MCT on Amiga and new players from Hungary are probably lower ranked then other players that would be in Basket 2,3 or 4. Maybe you would like to keep 1 basket as strong as possible without geogrph. factor? If so, other countries would get these places and be replaced in appropriate basket.
