The addition of 5 new mexican teams is to compensate for the fact that the next Copa Libertadores (2010) will feature five mexican teams, two of which already having secured a place in the last 16 phase. In addition, Atlante F.C. (Mexico) is going to participate in the 2009 FIFA Club World Cup alongside UEFA Champions League winner Barcelona FC (Spain) and Copa Libertadores winner Estudiantes (Argentina).


Regarding MLS teams (USA) there is to be one team representing the eastern and western conference respectively. For update 2.0 these teams are D.C. United (USA) for the eastern conference and LA Galaxy (USA) for the Western Conference.


- Changes in the Dutch Other Division:

Sturm Graz (Austria) has replaced FC Midtjylland (Denmark)

North Korea has replaced Iran following the former s qualification in World Cup 2010.

All National Teams have been updated apart from China, Costa Rica and Saudi Arabia, i.e. 65 out of a total of 68 national teams in the game. The aim in this update was to include players with international caps that were called to play for their national side at least once in the first half of 2009.

- The S. America Cup (National teams) has been modified to include the 12 teams that will participate in Copa America 2011 in Argentina, i.e. Argentina (host), Brazil (holders), Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela, Mexico (invitee), Japan (invitee).

- The European Cup (Club teams) has been modified to include the 32 teams that participate in the Champions League 2009/10 group stage, i.e. Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man Utd, Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille, Bayern, Stuttgart, Wolfsburg, AZ Alkmaar, Milan, Internazionale, Juventus, Real Madrid, Sevilla, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Rangers, Olympiacos, Standard Liege, Rubin Kazan, CSKA Moscow, Besiktas JK, Porto, Unirea Urziceni, Dinamo Kiev, Fiorentina, Maccabi Haifa, FC Zurich, APOEL Nicosia, Debrecen VSC.

- The EURO Cup (Club teams) has been modified to include 32 teams of the 48 teams that participate in the Europa League 2009/10 group stage. 24 of the teams are the Pot 1 and Pot 2 Teams (i.e. the stongest 50% of all the teams competing in the group stage based on their UEFA coefficients) namely: (Pot 1) Shakhtar Donetsk, Werder Bremen, Villarreal, Roma, PSV Eindhoven, Sporting CP, Hamburg, Benfica, Valencia, Panathinaikos, Ajax, Steaua Bucureşti, (Pot 2) Fenerbahçe, Basel, Lille, Celtic, Everton, Club Brugge, Heerenveen, Galatasaray, Anderlecht, Austria Wien, Copenhagen, Lazio. The rest (8 teams) are a selection of the remainder (Pot 3 4) namely: Hertha BSC, AEK Athens, Athletic Bilbao, Twente, Fulham, Toulouse, Genoa CD Nacional. This competition will be updated again in Update 2.1 (incorporating winter 2010 transfers) to include the 32 participants of the 2009/10 Europa League knockout round.

- The UEFA Super Cup has been modified to include the Champions League and UEFA Cup winners, i.e. Barcelona Shakhtar.

- The Spanish Cup has been modified to include all Primera Division teams, Argentinean teams and two Mexican Teams (San Luis America).

- The Spanish League Cup has been modified to include all Primera Division teams and Argentinean teams and two Mexican Teams (Guadalajara Pachuca FC).

- The Portuguese Cup has been modified to include all Portuguese and Brazilian Teams.

- The English Shield has been modified to include the Premier League and FA Cup winners i.e. Manchester United Chelsea.

- The German Shield has been modified to include the Top League and Cup winners i.e. Wolfsburg Werder Bremen.

- The Italian Shield has been modified to include the Top League and Cup winners i.e. Intenazionale SS Lazio.

- The Spanish Shield has been modified to include the Top League and Cup winners i.e. FC Barcelona, Athletico Bilbao.

- The German Cup has been modified to include all German, Austrian, Swiss, and Danish Teams.

- The World Cup Competition (National teams) has been modified to include 32 teams that are likely to participate in World Cup 2010 in South Africa. The following teams have qualified as of September 2009: South Africa, Japan, Australia, Korea Republic, Netherlands, Korea DPR, Brazil, Ghana, England, Spain, Paraguay. The rest of the teams were added based on their performance qualification so far and the pre-determined places granted by FIFA for each Football Federation.

- The Dutch Cup has been modified to include all Eredivisie, Belgian and Scandinavian teams.

- The Dutch League Cup has been modified to include all Eredivisie, Belgian and Scandinavian teams.

- The N. America Cup (National teams) has been modified to include 12 teams (Boca Juniors, LDU Quito, Adelaide United, Urawa Red Diamonds, Gamba Osaka, Club America, Man Utd, Milan, Sao Paolo, Internacional, Barcelona Pachuca) to emulate the recent FIFA Club World Cup 2008 Competition.

- The Asian Cup (National teams) has been modified to include 16 teams (4 teams that participated in each of the top competitions from the following federations: UEFA - Champions League (Europe), CONCACAF – Champions League (N. America), CONMEBOL – Copa Libertadores (S. America), AFC – Champions League (Asia).

- The German League Cup (which is defunct in the last couple of years in Germany) has been modified to include all the teams from South America and North America emulating the Copa Nissan Sudamericana 2009 competition (It is comparable to the UEFA Cup in European club football competition, with the exception that some top teams can play both in this tournament and in the Copa Libertadores).

- Fixed a bug over previous updates where players may have been unable to enact substitution due to conflict in shirt numbers.

- Corrected player attributes that caused teams to have registered too many defenders as Marksmen (MRK).

- Corrected goalkeeper attributes in several national teams that caused them to be registered as defenders.

- Corrected cases where a player appeared more than once in a team.

- Fixed a bug that caused the game to crash when playing for or against Eintracht Frankfurt.

- Fixed several bugs that caused the game to crash in custom mode.

- Corrected several player height and weight attributes that were previously given random values due to lack of information.

- Bulgaria replaced Jamaica which is a team that cannot be selected outside the preset competitions. To solve this issue, Bulgaria has moved provisionally to the Portuguese Other Division, yet this does not mean that it takes part in any Portuguese competitions.

- Top German Division updated team names corrected.

- Top Dutch Division updated team names corrected.

- Top Spanish Division updated team names corrected.

- Fixed minor issues in the updated Top Scottish Division. Other Scottish Division remains unmodified as shown in the Update details section of our site.

- The European Cup competition for club teams (Champions League) has been modified to include 32 teams that are likely to participate in the Champions league 2008/9. Based on UEFA decisions:


1. Portuguese champions Porto, have been excluded from this year s competition by UEFA, after being found guilty of bribing referees during the 2003-04 season. As a result, Vitoria Guimaraes have taken their place. Unless the decision is overuled they will not compete in either the CL or the UEFA Cup.

2. Bulgarian champions CSKA Sofia will be excluded from the tournament having failed to secure a UEFA licence due to the club being in debt to various government bodies and creditors. Levski Sofia may appear in the competition if they advance to group stage. Based on Levski Sofia s performance in the CL qualifiers they may be included in subsequent releases in either the CL or UEFA Cup.


- The Euro competition for club teams (UEFA Cup) has been modified to include 32 teams that are likely to participate in the UEFA Cup 2008/9.

- Modified the teams of the World Cup competition based on qualifying group WC 2010 favorites.

- Adjusted league and cup competitions for Germany, Italy, Portuguese, Spanish and French divisions so that the no. of european teams participating in those competiton and not belonging to those countries is minimized.

- Added/updated and fixed player appearances errors for the following teams (most teams appeared in version 0.1 but were missing in version 0.2):

- Out of all the teams updated, player photos were not found for the majority of players (and hence player apperances in-game are pretty basic) in the following teams: FC Artmedia, Valur Reyjkavik. Care will be taken to review web info on those teams in the future in case player photos become available for these teams.

- Some early 2008/9 season transfers have been applied.

- Fixed minor appearance and position issues in the South American teams (located in the Spanish Other Division).

- Fixed transparency issue with kit display on the score bar (Thank you EreWeGo!). Some kits on the score bar may not show exactly as their three color versions. We are well aware of this issue and trying to find a solution to it.

- New Euro 2008 style balls that replace the original ball designs by EreWego Muzzer!

- New kits for all English Premier league teams (i.e. Top).

- Added 7 South American teams (Boca Juniors, Velez Sarsfield, River Plate, Estudiantes, Santos, Sao Paolo Flamengo) which overwrite original teams in the Spanish Other Division.

- Added 65 European teams which overwrite original teams in the Scottish, Italian, French, Dutch and Portugese Other divisions.

- All kits for the 72 new teams are correct for the 2007/8 season.
