Changing the Start Season for a Career was created by FalmerOK
Is it possible to change the year that a career starts using SWOS++, so for instance the first season is 2010/11 rather than 1996/97?
I have searched the forum quite extensively but I have not found any information on how to do this. Have I just missed it?

Better really late than never. If you want starting year to be 2012/2013, hexedit sws.exe
Offset
b33fa 5e - 0b
b8bce 60 - 0c
cbcac cc - dc
cbcb5 61 - 0d
In zipped attachment there is a modified sws.exe related to sync update 2012-13 v.12 and
starting year should be 2012 / 2013.
Please, back up any critical data before replacing sws.exe or editing it.
Cheers.

Do we know how to do this for both a standard PC sws.exe and an Amiga SWOS2?
If so, my future updates will have the correct/appropriate start season in career mode.

Hi Sync!
What i have tested, seems to be working ok with pc (editing sws.exe).
Also tried to modify amigas swos2 file, but i had no luck with it.
If i have more time, will try again. You could too try, if time and enthusiasm.
Cheers

Well the swos2 would have to be unpacked first, and then perhaps we are looking for instances of the same four bytes in a row (as in the pc exe)?
edit: they re not in a row actually, are they

Hi!
I tried to modify unpacked swos2 file and find similarities to pc ones. Like you said, they are not rows, just single bytes. I just quickly tried to find right bytes from swos2 file, so
maybe its there if more time is used.

Hi!
In amiga, by hex-editing .car file in a offset 177d0 - 177d1 there is a main windows running season showed.
So if you want to start with a season 2013/14, start a career, save, and then hexedit offset.
Change those offset in orginal .car file (20 60 or 38 60 or what so ever) to f.e. 7a 0d and then you will have career starting from a season 2013/14. It will not have an effect on manager history windows, it will start normally from a season 1996/97 and I think that it cannot be changed just by editing .car file.
Back up any critical data before hexediting anything.
Cheers.
