Swos Total Pack sucks!

Hey!

I try to play swos orginal 1994/95 - carrer mode,and every time i pick some team game freeze.

I am using swos total pack 1.09 with multimedia files.

I tryed everything, no chairman scenes,no enhancment,orginal sound,orginal graphic.

Well, what a rude title for a thread!
How can you expect to get any help with an attitude like that? Starwindz did a brilliant job with the Total Pack, and just because you are having some problem running does not mean that it sucks !

If it s freezing for you, (and it appears to be working fine for Playa), then maybe it s not the Total Pack that s causing the problem? I would make some suggestions of things to try, but I honestly can t be bothered when you title a thread like you have...

This is a great community, with some very talented and helpful members, so next time I d recommend you show some respect to the authors of projects like the Total Pack...

Sorry for the thread title.I didnt mean to offend anybody.
If something works for someone,it doesnt mean that works for everyone,and if someone likes something,doesnt mean that everybody likes that.
Concernig the swos total pack,only orginal file works for me,like it should.Updates somethimes crashes when you pick some club in carrer mode,commentary is not good in some updates,etc...

no worries mate, and thanks for changing the thread title. Sorry if I sounded a little harsh, just thought it wasn t fair to starwindz and his totalpack. I mean, fair enough not everyone will like something, but then just don t use it, it doesn t mean it sucks.

Same goes for when software, or a mod etc doesn t work - just look at the huge budgets that some software and game developers have, and yet still release titles that won t work with everyones setup. The PC has to be one of the hardest platforms to develop for as there s so many variables like video card type and manufacturer, motherboard, cpu, ram, third party apps etc etc, so to expect an application like the Total Pack, made by a one-person development team, to be compatible with all systems is a bit unfair.

As far as the data updates crashing etc, they can do that with or without using the Total Pack, so I don t think you can blame starwindz. It s not even really the fault of the modders making the updates either - anytime you edit/mod any application to do something or alter how it originally was designed, it can have unexpected side effects... Blame the original code!

One last thing, the Total Pack does mention which update/team data mods have problems with career modes and commentary etc, so if you use the guidelines you should be okay most of the time.

Anyway, like I said, sorry if I jumped down your throat so to speak... BTW, you mentioned using the 94/95 data, (which as Playa said is from the Amiga version) - is there a particular team that crashes, or any team? Also, does it freeze anywhere, or only at end of season?
