PPJoy with Amiga 4-Player-Adapter

Hello, I m trying to connect an old Amiga Competition Pro Joystick with my PC (via LPT Parallel-Port with the so called 4Player-Adapter [2x9pin - LPT]). To make Windows (XP) recognize the Joysticks, I installed PPJoy. But everytime, I add a Joystick, it installes it giving an error-message like couldn t start the device (Error Code 10) . I see the Joystick in the Hardware-manager, but it has a yellow exclamation mark on itself and it won t work. Even worse: when I tried to switch to debug mode in PPJoy my computer crashed down and rebooted. Anyone experienced that kind of problems? I found no answers in forum or faqs so far. Thanks a lot in advance for all help!

Hi again! Just to let you know how I managed the prob: Had to switch the LPT-mode in the BIOS to SSP or SPP or something similar. (That was indeed written somewhere in the PPJoy FAQ - didn t notice it before.) Now everything s working perfectly.
