How to improve custom team

Hello. I’ve been playing SS2006 since it came out and I have installed mods Megapatches.
I really like the game and have started to play as a custom team but cannot progress in any tournament as the skill level of the team is so poor. I can’t get past the first round of any tournament. How can I improve the team’s skill level if I can’t win anything?

Hey Robberg mate, to answer your question: not easily. You can manually edit teams, data etc, and although a little involved, is definitely possible. Here s a link to a great guide:
