How to config controllers in SS2006

I know this is a massive long shot as no-one has been here for years, but does anyone know how to change the controllers and resolution settings for SS2006?  I found my original copy of the game and have finally got it working on a Windows 11 PC by using a no-CD fix and the Megapatch 4 is working a treat.  However, what I start the game the initial settings screen never appears, and although I can get to the configpc.ini file, I have no idea what to edit manually (I have even downloaded one for the sideways camera, but copying those settings across doesn't help).  If anyone has any ideas I'd be very grateful.
