Short/change nickname

Hey folks , im wondering how can i short my nickname. I don want a radical change but its way too long (swos_4ever_fever). I would appreciate if i just could have it shorter..example : Swfever.

Please let me know if this is possible. Already passed by my mind create a new account to do so, but i would be very frustated in losing my historial stats.
