Solved:
XBLA SWOS developers definitely used pitches and graphics from DOS version of SWOS - European Championship Edt (95/96). Down here you see also an Amiga SWOS screenshot. From penalty spot details and from the in-between areas of the adboards (brown colored), you can clearly see which one they used.
Only question is: Why not straight from 96/97, instead of this clumsy and amateurish approach (ok, it worked for 11 years... ;D ) to get 96/97 adboards?
