logitech attack 3 joystick

I need help please, I need to get back playing this beautiful game asap. I have downloaded the amiga version on my pc from a link on this site, the problem is the joystick doesn t work. On the setup to the game i have chose pc joystick but still no joy. its a usb joystick but has many buttons to it so it mite be too complicated.As any1 got any suggestions or a joystick which works without fail .
