Which version are you playing?
There are editing programs available for SWOS which edit the game s data files. Whiteulver s SWOES and Pablo Fridlender s PC SWOS Editor can do this.
This is trickier for the Amiga version than the PC version as once edited you have to get the files back into an Amiga disk (whether real or virtual).
In regular Sensible Soccer you can edit everything with the in-game editor (as there are many fewer teams).

That one runs from an hdf file so you d have to
1. extract the data folder from the swos.hdf file, using adfview or adfopus (whichever one actually works on your computer)
2. unpack the files in that folder, using RNC Propack. This involves looking up some simple command lines. Something like ppibm u *.* when in the correct folder in a DOS prompt.
3. the actual team data is in the now-unpacked TEAM.XXX files; use SWOES or PC SWOS Editor to change the kits/teams to whatever you like
4. pack the files again using RNC Propack and a slightly different command line ppibm p a *.*
5. put the data folder/files back into the hdf file, replacing the old ones
6. play SWOS with new data
You can get these programs from my site s FAQ page or by googling them.
It is a trial at first but it doesn t cause any trouble once you get the hang of it. I work from a permanent folder which is just everything unpacked, and just propack things when I need to.
If you can t get either adfview or adfopus to work, you ll have to use something other than the swos.hdf setup from here. WinUAE is capable of emulating a simple Windows folder as if it were an hdf file, so there s really no need to use an actual hdf file anymore. Also, propack doesn t work under 64-bit windows so you ll have to run it in a DOSbox window if your OS is 64-bit.
Hope that makes some sense!

I have downloaded RNC Propack, but I cant seem to get it to work. I double-click on the PPAMI.EXE file and nothing happens.
I have adfview and it has allowed me to see inside the data folder as shown here:

I have SwoEditorSv1.3, but I cannot load the TEAM files into the editor. I get this message when I try copying the TEAM files
to another loaction to edit them I get this message:
i43.tinypic.com/o92rt0.jpg
I click Yes but nothing happens. No data is loaded into the editor.
I m using WinXP (32bit).

Ok, I think I have figured out how to edit the teams. I have re-packed the files, and then I have put the data folder/files
back into the hdf file, replacing the old ones.
However, when I start up SWOS, it replaces the new edited files with the previous versions!!
Help!

Ah, wait a minute. There are 5(?) hdf files:
SWOS\Disks\swos.hdf
SWOS\Disks\New\swos.hdf
SWOS\Disks\Legends\swos.hdf
SWOS\Disks\Custom\swos.hdf
SWOS\Disks\9697\swos.hdf
I copied my edited files into all of the above folders data folder and it seems to work now. :-\
