I checked and there was no problem. So probable you have to: turn off UAC/run aswos.exe as Admin/install to other directory than Program Files. For example in subdirectory, in C:\.

So unfortunetly I cannot help you in remote way. Maybe some firewall/antivirus software block access to update url. But if other sites works fine it is strange anyway. You can always try to visit this url manually: update.swos.info/save.adf and maybe someone other here can help you better.

Download or install SWOS again. All settings are in: CONFIGURATIONS\original.uae file, which default have read-only attribute. You change setting by editing this file, when WinUAE Kaillera is not launched. Default settings as far as I know is 672x544 in Window.
