Re: New Graphics Mod
as promised, I finally got around to uploading files for my new mod. I haven t made new generic adboards yet, so you ll have to put up with the commercial ones included in the last mod. There s two versions, one with the black and white ball, and one with coloured. Be aware that in the coloured ball mod, the ball reverts to black and white during throw-ins. This is a limitation of the palette and design in SWOS...
To refresh your memory, here s some pics:
The mod with coloured ball:
I ve changed some Menus to use SWOS logos that don t include the 96/97, as suggested by Turko, (thanks mate!). I just used the background menus from the original SWOS, and edited some of them a little. Anyway, here are the links to the files:
Black and white Ball version:
HDF Version:
www.mediafire.com/file/gydyamyj5jn/SWOS.hdf
Just the Grafs files:
www.mediafire.com/file/myon5yetfkw/grafs.zip
Coloured Ball Version:
HDF Version:
www.mediafire.com/file/kghzmmkwzlt/SWOS.hdf
Just the Grafs files:
www.mediafire.com/file/ocymnmmmmmf/grafs.zip
To use the HDF versions, just backup or re-name your SWOS.hdf file in C:\Program Files\Amiga SWOS\Disks , and copy the new SWOS.hdf to that location. NOTE: This mod is designed for offline/career play, (although I have had some people say that it works online okay)
For the Grafs files, just extract the files to the Grafs folder of SWOS in your hard-drive installed version, (backup the folder first).
I ve got some more ideas, just need to find the time to try them, and I will be working on some new adboards as discussed in another thread, and try to have some more fun and non-commercial boards...
Any questions/problems/suggestions, post here or contact me.
*EDIT* Forgot to mention - Thanks to Horace, Whiteulver, mrsensible, Redhair, and Jerry (SWOS Grafiki mod), for their help and inspiration.

Hi Fumina,hi,
but on amiga version, I ve also installed the Synchro update ( always swos.hdf file) ....
your overwrite the same file?
obviously, if you replace the SWOS.HDF with the one from the mod, then it won t include Synchro s updates, (the mod uses the standard 96/97 data).
There are several ways around this: One way is to use a program like ADF View:
www.viksoe.dk/adfview/
Next, BACKUP your SWOS.HDF file just in case.
What you can then do is double-click on your SWOS.adf file, and you will see all the folders inside. Copy the Grafs folder and paste it on your desktop. Next, download just the grafs.zip version of the mod, and extract the files to the Grafs folder on your desktop, overwriting the existing files.
Now, copy the Grafs folder on your desktop, and paste it back into the windows showing the folders inside the SWOS.ADF ......
I hope this makes sense! If you want, I ll make a new SWOS.HDF version of the mod, and include Synchro s latest updates. I ll post a link when finished. (Will have to wait a bit though, I m actually at work at the moment!)
