Re: Eifel-X-Mas-Cup 2012

Ich kann mich hier im Grunde nur anschließen, hat richtig Spass gemacht der Cup! Super Organisation, eine nette Runde, spannendes Turnier, gute Stimmung und alles was der geneigte Hedonist sonst noch so begehrt. Großes Lob an die Organisatoren Paider, AndYpsilon und deren Unterstützer.

Besten Dank auch nochmal an K****i, der meinem Mitstreiter mc.tobsen und mir eine Bleibe für die Nacht zur Verfügung stellte. Sorry an der Stelle nochmal, dass ich die liebevoll neben dem Bett platzierte Nachdurstflasche aufgrund leichter Richtungskoordinationsschwierigkeiten zu Bruch gebracht habe. :

Ich bin mit nicht allzu großen Erwartungen ins Turnier gegangen und unterm Strich sehr zufrieden mit dem Erreichen der K.o.-Runde und meinem 8. Platz. Gratulation natürlich dem Sieger, ElmichaJ, ebenso AndYpsilon zum 2. Platz und ganz besonders auch Escher, der ein ganz starkes Turnier gespielt und verdient den 3. Platz erreicht hat!

Als Fazit kann ich mich nur selbst fragen, warum ich erst nach 4 Jahren online-Karriere an nem offline-Cup teilgenommen habe und bin mir sicher, dass das nicht mein Letzter war. Ich denke, ich spreche da auch in mc.tobsens Namen. Ich hab mit meinen recht begrenzten PC-Fähigkeiten mal den Versuch unternommen, ein paar Bilder hochzuladen:

Ich hoffe, man sieht sich spätestens bei den Sensi-Days 2013 in unserer schönen Hauptstadt wieder!

Congratulations to MichaJ for winning the tournament, thanks to Thomas, Paider and the rest of the Eifelcrew for the hospitality and for organising a fun tournament.

What I found a good point about the tournament is that the games were played in a good atmosphere, players could play their games well concentrated - something a tournament needs i.m.o. -. This really was an improvement to previous tournaments (especially the last Sensidays .
Another thing that struck my mind was the fact that (some) players only play some matches to leave for some (possibly quite valid) reasons. This is not realistic to my opinion. If you know you can t compete then to me it sounds the most logical that you can t compete on that particular occasion. Of course I don t want to scare any players away from the tournaments, but with a low amount of games played I personally think it puts the group results into subjectivity.

Nevertheless, it was a good tournament, I am already looking forward to the next one.
