Okay, when asked what skills your SWOS player would need, we all want 7 s (or 15 s) across the board: a 7 in speed, in ball control, in shot power, etc. But what if you are given only a limited number of points, like 49 (7*7!) to use on creating your own players? I d be interested in hearing how you would distrubte the points. Of course you can make different molds per position. You ll probably want your A(ttacker) to have some F(inishing) and your (R)W(inger) some S(peed).
There s only one catch: every point costs you the square number of it, thus giving your player a 7 in anything will cost you 7*7=49 points (which is all your point)
To help you out, here are all legal combinations for 49 points:
7 0 0 0 0 0 0
6 3 2 0 0 0 0
6 3 1 1 1 1 0
6 2 2 2 1 0 0
6 2 2 1 1 1 1 (1 left unused)
5 4 2 2 0 0 0
5 4 2 1 1 1 1
5 3 3 2 1 1 0
5 3 2 2 2 1 1 (1 left unused)
5 2 2 2 2 2 2
4 4 4 1 0 0 0
4 4 3 2 2 0 0
4 4 3 2 1 1 1 (1 left unused)
4 4 2 2 2 2 1
4 3 3 3 2 1 1
4 3 3 2 2 2 1 (1 left unused)
4 3 2 2 2 2 2 (4 left unused)
3 3 3 3 3 2 0
3 3 3 3 3 1 1 (2 left unused)
3 3 3 3 2 2 2 (1 left unused)
It could be a fun idea to play a tournament with people getting a given # of points (for example 500) to freely spend on your players (in the 500 example, you could spend the maximum of 7*(7*7)=343 points on your star player for, leaving 157 points for your remaining 13 players). A special rule will have to be made for the goalkeepers, or all have to be of the same value.

For a winger, I d be tempted to make a 7-speed, 0-rest. But with no ball control, power or finishing, I won t be able to make many cross passes or score goals. So I might go with a 6-speed, 3-control, 2-power type.
For an attacker, I want finishing, but also some power. I could balance it ut with one A being a finisher (F-skill) and the other a long distance shooter (V-skill). Again, a 7 would be too expensive, I d probably give both a 6 in their main skill, a 3 in speed and 2 in control or the other shooting skill (F or V).
For a defender, I m usually just a speed guy, but mainly because I ve yet to discover the effectiveness of good tackling and heading skills...
Thoughts?

On that one I have the thought that you should start to play SWOS online with us!
And nice topic. Will think of something later.
