How do i get swos to run on XP ?

Hi all

after downloading swos on my sons 360 I decided to buy a copy of swos euro edition for my PC off ebay.

However I have had several goes at getting it to play without success, I downloaded total pack but do I have to install the game to that first as all it shows me is the credits then stops saying some kind of mapping error ?

Have tried dos box on its own too without success and VDM which i get to the intall screen which asks me which drive I am installing from eithe A or B so that stops me too

Anyway bottom line is I am not a computer wizz so I need help please

ok i got it going after readng the tutorial, got game play got sound but I need some advice on a game pad to buy, tried my sons xbox 360 pad but it isnt detected

Advice for a gamepad please, prefer one to a joystick

do i just need this program then and not the game itself ?
