Control Issues

I recently bought a USB 2.0 controller in the style of a ps3 one in the hope that I d be able to play SWOS 96/97 with it but I m not having any luck. I can see the controller under generic USB joystick in the WinUAE screen and I ve tried all the configurations but theres no response when I use the controller.
I checked the controller through the test in control panel and it seems fine. Please help. This is driving me bonkers : (

Thanks for getting back to me. I ve had a look and can t see any option like that unless I m perhaps looking in the wrong screen. (I m assuming you mean F12 screen?) This is the first time I have ever used WinUAE.

In the I/O Ports under Host tab I have Parallel Port, Serial Port and MIDI with a number of dropdowns all containing what looks like printers and stuff. No mention of a joystick or gaming device.

Under the Game Ports under Host Tab I can see both port 1 and 0 and a few other drop downs. I can select Generic USB Joystick, Joystick or analogue Joystick in the drop downs but it doesn t appear to have any effect.

Sorry if I m missing something really obvious.
