Program to skip "Warning: This Windows version is not supported" error in SWOS++ was created by olesio
Hey all
I hope someone will be interested (maybe starwind include this feature in next
SWOS TotalPack release). I wrote using Delphi small program which allow send a keys
stroke to DoxBox application window. You must just run dsbx_sk.exe file as separate
process using start command. for example in batch: start dsbx_sk.exe 1000 whare last
parameter is delay in miliseconds (from 500 to 10000) after program send aa keys to
DosBox window and allow you skip a Warning: This Windows version is not supported
message in SWOS++ without pressing any key. In fast computers (I have tested under
1 GHz rprocessor) on XP and in small DosBox window 500 miliseconds is enough to skip
error message or on fullscreen 1000 miliseconds. On Windows 98 I must set delay to
3000 miliseconds (on fullscreen mode), so you can download my small program from:
skorski.net/~oles/swos/dsbx_sk.exe and a source code in Borland Delphi 3 from:
skorski.net/~oles/moje/dsbx_sk_d3.rar - as far as I remember a SWOS TotalPack
launcher is written in Turbo Delphi, so maybe starwindz use my method in it and SendKeys
componnent to skip this message in SWOS++ startup without pressing any key by user

Nice tool! Sorry for the late reply.
Starwindz asked me for the source code of SWOS++ to remove that message.
Just one part I don t understand:
Why would you use Total Pack on Win98??? SWOS runs perfect by default on Win98.
No need for Dosbox etc...

1. Regarding dsbx_sk, I could not download exe and source code. What is going on?
2. What kind of problem is there on total pack under Win98?

Hi there,
Seems I had the same problem with trying to get the PC version of SWOS++ that is included in the Total Package, to dosXbox. Although I can configure using the install and all, the sound is very glitchy, well I turned my speakers of before they or my hearing would be damaged.
I also got the error, Windows version is not supported when running it on dosXbox. Still trying to figure out where to find a solid download for SWOS++, since the update just doesn t work. NOT even when I do a clean install and try to patch the PC version of SWOS with the SWOS++ update.
If anyone has a solution, you re most welcome!
Kind regards,
Nico
