Some statistical results about some (many) OOO games

It has long been a question for me what is the ratio of the draws in SWoS.

I have made a small statistic, and it made me do some other statistical research.

The basis was the last 5000 OOO games, the 1st was on May 9th 22:26:48 and the last was Oct 30th 21:56:55, so not far from half year (note: the match date is always the date of entering not the exact playing, it is always a later date, many times with an hour or more).

So 1st the original question, the draws are quite rare. The 81.3% of the matches have a winner (and unfortunately it is only possible with a loser) and just 18.7% is ending with equality. 1st graph is a nice pie chart about that.

The next to examine is the exact results. The most goals was 14 in a match (13-1, 10-4, 8-6 one time each). Most goals by one side were 13 (it was Deyna).

In 123 games were more than 10 goals by the two sides together (2.46%), and in 10 matches was 2 digits result for one side.

After the 935 draws, there were 1736 games with only one goal difference. It is together 53.4%, so the minority of matches was really unbalanced.
In 1676 games were 3 or more goals as a difference. (33.5%) And in less than 1000 (988) was 4 or more.

On the 2nd graph, you can see how many times a certain result appeared.

Let’s see the players. On the 5000 matches there were 120 players (as there are always 2 players in a match) it is 83 matches per player. But there aren’t equality between the players, some played lot more than 83 games, some less. The top 14 was (with more than 200 games):

Randapek alone played on the 34.1% of the 5000 games (and Amaal on almost 20% of them)!

On the 10000 player*games: the top 20 player played the 80% of the games, and the other 100 player the rest 20%. Graph 3 is showing some names in two part, first 60 and scond 60 players.

Most matches between same players was not surprisingly Randapek vs. Amaal77. They played almost the 5% of the 5000 matches solely against each other. The 3 most playing pairs was together almost 14%. Here are the most popular pairs:

And it is not over!

The time-frame for the 5000 matches was almost exactly 174 days (very near to a half year), so it slightly less than 29 games/day. But the tendency is interesting. (I normalized the month, and the partial month into 30 days/month). Check the 1st graph, very interesting.
It shows a nice growing, maybe the summer vacation was the reason for the lower 1st half.

The other question about when we play? is the exact hour. There are some owls, and not many early morning guy. Remember, here has more importance that the date/hour is not the time of the game, but the entering! It can be easily +1 hour or more! It is interesting that the hours from 13 to 21 aren t too different (don t forget the + time, so it is starting about 12). Maybe the weekends equalize things? Something I have not examined yet. The 2nd grap shows the distribution of the games based on the hour part of the time data.

I will continue with some data about the 5000 ooo games, but back to the original question from another datasource. What is the ratio of the tie games?

I add the data of the last 10 ASL Super season. There were 1166 games and the ratio was 16.04% for the draws, and it is quite equal, but a bit less than in the ooo games.

33 players
10 timers were: Bobibbiebobras, Lestat, Marin Parushev, Szeszesek
There weren t any 9 or 8 timers, so if a player is a constant player, he is very constant
2.63 goals per game
Most goals scored per game in a season: 3.95/game by Djowger
Most points per game in a season: 2,6 by Bobbiebobras and by Blazej_Bdg
Most draws per game in a season: 44% by Animatore
Less draws per game in a season: 0 in 22 games by Tomasz82 and by Szeszesek
