If a player s value relates to their attributes, how does player value increase but they don t improve as a player (i.e. their attributes don t increase)?

So you can sell them on.
As Playa says, actually having them improve would be too much for a game at this level of complexity.

Ok, thanks guys, it s good to know there are people that have the answers to my questions! For the moment I will get back to the game: I m Hull in Division 3 and bought a striker called Pingo for 4 million! He s scored over 100 after about 30 games! Not bad for a pants beginner!

I have another question!

I frequently have trial players join the club, and I always play them until they are a full member of the squad (giving them a value). However most of them end up being worth 5k and are pretty poor players! I have put 5 of them on the transfer list (5k each), but nobody ever buys them. So my question is: can you sell these types of players ever? Or do you have to release them on a free to make room in your squad? thanks

If they play on a position with a tick , they get more worth than 5k. And sometimes there are really great players on trial . Test them ...

but surely if they are good, they will be worth alot more than 5k right away? I had a RB on trial, when he became a member of the squad, he was worth 2.25million straight away!

I think you chose well. Pingo should be a serious goal machine, especially in the 3rd division.
