Re: Synchronated Updates

If you ve replaced the data folder contents then you will have updates. The old data does not exist anymore. It isn t contained in the exe or anything.
You could be running SWOS from a different location to the one you ve updated. I ve done that before without realising, many times.

Is there going to be a sync update for the new season, perhaps after the transfer window closes?

I will try to compile the data into my db and release it. Whether I will have time to actually import it into SWOS is another matter. Nothing before Sept anyway as daily transfers etc. still happening

Hi, just some news on plans.
I will be updating my central database over the first couple of weeks of September.
After that I will import teams/leagues into SWOS using the 2011-12 update as a basis, so that I can do full releases from the start (i.e. the first release will have all the major leagues updated and the rest will still be 2011-12 data, and so on until the last release, when everything is replaced), and so it ll be a full playable update from the start.
(old official SWOS updates of course only updated the major leagues anyway!)
So, the first release should be before the end of Sept.

I doubt I will be able to blitz *everything* in Sept like last time as I have gigs to play and other stuff going on. But it ll eventually get done and there should be some releases in Sept.

Any plans of adding more than 16 players in a team? like putting them in lower divisions in leagues that noone cares about...
Maybe adding un-signed players?

It s possible that I ll use El Salvador for the 48 biggest clubs reserve teams this year. I ll see if it s viable.
That might be the best idea; that league is basically a blank slate because it doesn t interfere with any other part of the game at all.

All the other divisions will be updated/replaced with actual, real leagues so they re out as far as creative updating goes.

Yesterday and today I updated the whole of my database. So very soon I will post the values/extract and begin importing into swos data files.
It s looking good - even the individual player attributes (finishing etc) will be an improvement and, of course, even more thousands of hair colours looked up...
