fac

That is too populistic...
Swos Spirit? Come on..

If you call us chickens who are afraid to loose, i could call you a lazy guy, who does not want to invest time into creating a tactic.
But this obviosly is populistic bullshit and does not help us.

Keep it to the facts!

ok facts
1/ less than 50% people on last sensi played with tactics
2/ you got best tactic here
3/ tactics are a way bigger advantage on PC than on Amiga
4/ im a lazy guy, as most of guys here who dont want/wish to create and play on tactics here
5/ it would be easier for non-tactics playes as me, Lobo, Blazej, Dzem, Bobbie, and many more ?

mits
1/ SWOS SPIRIT - populistic bullshit

If the argument to change the rules (AT THE SWOS WORLD CUP!), is because the majority of SWOS players are too lazy (not unable) to create one themselves, why should this hurt the ones that have actually put in some time and effort to create one? Where is the logic in this?

The rule change suggestion makes more sense for casual online games such as friendlies or perhaps ooo s where both have agreed to play without. Especially if we get new players online after the release of PC SWOS online. But I wonder what the outcome will be if we will have 2 times ASL (one for both PC and AMIGA), could easily happen I guess.

BUT you cut one feature of the game ... we dont cut any other features. why ? cause we like or dislike ?

If you are worlds best player, you need to have ALL skills

Sanek, you know it s not an offense when I say populistic bullshit .
Everybody has their own theory or understanding of SWOS Spirit . But to bring that into a rules discussion is not appropriate.
I hope i didn t offend you. If so, i am sorry.

well thats not really true ^^

i only play tactics on sensidays ... on other tournaments (Berlin Tournaments too) we play without, cause its more fun ...
would it be a world cup qualifier ... then we would play with tactics

by the way ... ASL Winner Bobbie (most gold medals) plays without tactics .... and polish community has some World Cup Winners without tactics .. on AMIGA and PC

maybe you can see it like they have played with custom tactics too ... designed by Jon Hare

Hm, you try to discuss with the organizers about how the rules on their event should be.
That s something I would never do, simply due to respect for their work and ideas.

I join(ed) all kind of events (now and then), with or without tactic, always enjoying it. So it s just not true that me (or we) only play with tactics.

I d never question any rules that I have read on forum months or weeks prior to an event.
I cannot imagine myself to ask for a voting to allow tactics on Berlin Open or Lubin Open, for example. That s not my business.

World Cup final 2008: Bobbie vs. Lobo! (tactics? no...)
Finalist 2009 and winner 2010: Foka
World Cup final 2011: Lobo vs Hawks (tactics? no...)

There are more examples, but those just popped to my mind in a second.

5/ it would be easier for non-tactics playes as me

It cannot be in the sense of a World Cup to make anything easier.

yeah cannot be easier than 2 times when tactics are allowed
but wait for whom is easier now ? and why so denfending it
and i have to say that i admire you all for play so many years with only 1 game tactic allowed on amiga
that had to be very difficult for you
do same to Amiga

about those results first and third are from Amiga isnt ?
i dont see here any connection to PC , Foka got his tactic as well, and he uses it when he likes to...

PC?

Mladen won a recent tournament in Serbia on PC without tactics.
Tactics were allowed and his opponents were no less than Marin P. (the current world champion) and Andypsilon (2013 PC finalist) (Dennis, ElmichaJ, MCT also played in this event), all using tactics as we all know.

Easier? It was very hard for me to play and loose against djowGer in 2009 (he used ALI.tac) and ElmichaJ (using my own tactic) this year.
But they were just better than me in these games. So, well done and hats off to them.
