Right in time, zkz productions comes up with an incredible achievement... porting the whole game to modern Windows (win32).

As you might imagine, this opens the door for a whole lot of amazing possibilities.
To start off with, the focus right now is to port the original PC DOS game SWOS 96/97 to Win32. As you can see in the video, the start is very promising and the game works about 65%-70%.
Feel free to comment, post ideas, discuss, ask questions... or just celebrate what is the best news for SWOS hungry people since god knows when!

This is awesome, not only for making offline tournaments easier (not being dependent on old machines with 2 gameports anymore)!
How will P2P gaming work?
Nailed it, bomb! We could even use the neoware CA2 machines with XP on them instead of Win98. 2x USB port, using adapters... no more calibration.
As p2p has been added to the Dos version (latest SWOS++) already via IPX, for the port it will use straight UDP. From what Zlatko says, that s possible.

Is it possible to run it on fullscreen?

@HairFU: Right now, it s just windowed, but fullscreen shouldn t be a problem! You can count on plug play USB!

Ok, but gameplay of this port is 100% of PC DOS SWOS feeling and not Amiga feeling (even if we set to amiga resolution), right?
Nope! Change of resolution (+ refresh rate) = Change of game physics. You played XBLA SWOS, didn t you?

Just remember please to edit .exe file so matches take 3 minutes instead of 2:30 as in original dos version
